Vincent Blondin is leading a new wave of young producers in Beaujolais. His old vines lay just outside of the invisible border that defines the Brouilly appellation. He grows Gamay of course, and a tiny amount of chardonnay. The wines are light, bright, and full of energy. Pur Jus. You can taste the influence of past and current natural Beaujolais masters, but you get the sense that Vincent is pushing toward something new and exciting. He's also one of the nicest guys we've met, and he has a very cute dog.
