D-I Wine is a New York City–based importer specializing in small-production wines from Japan and select European regions. We work directly with 25 winemakers across 4 countries — no brokers, no middlemen — bringing their best work to the US market.
Every wine in our portfolio starts with a personal connection. We visit the vineyards, taste with the winemakers, and only import wines we genuinely love. We believe in quality over quantity — a small, curated set of producers rather than a wide net.
Japanese Wine
Japan's wine industry is one of the world's best-kept secrets. From Koshu and Muscat Bailey A to Delaware and international varieties grown in volcanic soils, Japanese wines offer something genuinely unique.
We're proud to bring one of the largest selections of Japanese wine available in the US — wines that reflect meticulous craft, distinctive terroir, and a winemaking tradition that blends centuries of agricultural knowledge with modern technique.
European Selection
Alongside our Japanese portfolio, we work with a select group of European producers — natural and minimal-intervention winemakers who share our values of transparency, authenticity, and craft.
These are wines made with conviction: low intervention, indigenous yeasts, minimal sulfites, and farming practices that respect the land. From Italian orange wines to French natural cuvées, each bottle has a story worth telling.
