Sense Pressa

After a wonderful tasting with Anna and Jean Benoit of La Voluta, they suggested that we visit their neighbor who had just finished his first vintage. This is how we met Marius. We tasted his wines from the tank in his small cellar and we were blown away by the freshness and energy conveyed by each cuvee. We drank wine and chatted, and before we knew it, the sun was going down. From a chance encounter, we discovered some of our favorite wines of the trip! We are proud to present Sense Pressa’s very first vintage, a collection of four red blends, all zero/zero, focused, and unique.   Sense Pressa (translated from Catalan as ‘No Hurry’) was established in 2020 by Marius Long. Marius farms 2.5 hectares of twenty-year-old vines in the picturesque village of Cucugnan, nestled between the foothills of the Pyrenees and the Mediterranean Sea. He grows Grenache Noir and Syrah organically, in addition to tending a plot of Carignan lent to him by a local winemaker in 2022.   After completing a 2-year degree in Viticulture and Oenology in Beaune, Marius continued to develop his expertise at several vineyards across France, including in: Burgundy, Sancerre, Roussillon and finally, the Hautes-Corbières.
