Sense Pressa

Sense Pressa

Languedoc, Corbières, France

Sense Pressa (Catalan for "No Hurry") was established in 2020 by Marius Long in Padern, in the Hautes-Corbieres. Marius comes from a family of restaurateurs in Paris, where his love for wine was born. He earned a BTS in Viticulture and Oenology at the University of Beaune, then developed his expertise across France and Australia's Barossa Valley before gaining local experience at Domaine de Mena and Maziere. Marius farms four hectares around Padern and Cucugnan, nestled between the Pyrenees foothills and Mediterranean Sea, on limestone soils. He works almost exclusively with red varieties — Grenache Noir, Syrah, Carignan, and Cinsault — plus small plantings of Grenache Gris, Muscat, Macabeo, and Grenache Blanc. His approach is uncompromisingly hands-off: hand harvesting, basket pressing, spontaneous fermentations, and zero additions. Despite the warm southern location, the wines show remarkable restraint and quiet elegance.

Winemaking Philosophy

Uncompromisingly hands-off winemaking. Marius produces pure and energetic zero/zero cuvees without any oenological inputs from start to finish. Despite the southern Corbieres location, the wines show remarkable restraint with delicacy, lift, and quiet elegance — more reminiscent of cooler climates than typical regional styles.
